Getting up at 7 am, just when the sun rises, starting to work an hour
later.
view from our hut at sunrise
We weed, plant, build or clean. Every mon, wed and fri is
harvest day, then we start an hour earlier, so the goods will arrive
at the Auroville market in time.
At 10am there’s a tea break, where
the best and sweetest chai tea is served I ever had. After that we
either continue work or help in the kitchen, so lunch can be served
to all the workers (usually min. 20 people) at noon. Every work day
we have one chef responsible for the menu, and some helpers, who cook
vegetarian or vegan food. Last week it was Klaus and my turn, and
everyone was very happy with our creation.
Lesson: cooking for a large mass. Check.
After lunch we’re free to do whatever we want.
Dinner we have to cook ourselves. Bedtime? Doesn’t exist, though we
SHOULD be quiet after 10pm, but sometimes you can hear drums until
late at night.
So what do we do in our free time? Well, for
example a course here in Auroville.
Lesson: doing a drum course. Check.
Or we go out to play ultimate Frisbee…
Or we drive around on our moped...Or we just hang out with the others on the farm, playing music. (this is in the kitchen)
And finally, a photo of our home:
More photos to come. Internet is slow and not always available. Thank you for your patience!

Do you play Ultimate with a "real" club or is it just some people who enjoy playing with a disc?
It is a real club with over 30 People per practise day. We're playing at the end of the practise always a little tournament with 4 teams. They are quite goods players and the young guns (6-10 years old) throw at least really good.
They are Top 5 in India!
On Friday the HAT Tournaments starts here! Very excited
but to be honest, half of the players are quite new (in Auroville and to ultimate), so even to do a stack can be difficult... ;)
and yes, the HAT will be exciting! more stories about it after the weekend!
