this is India
We woke up to the sound of a digger. At first I thought, it's just my luck and whereever I go, there's some construction work. Then Klaus called from outside our little bamboo hut: they were taking down buildings along the whole road! Someone said, they were all illegal and just for tourists, so they came with a digger and took them all down, 15 m away from our hut... People were warned by the policee a night before. This is India!
So... Welcome to Hampi!
Since that morning, we've:
- been scared they would take down tourist accomodation
- changed our accomodation
- met some cool british girls and indian brothers we hung out with
- rented motorbikes and drove to a lake
- saw temples with monkeys and an elephant
- saw the elephan taking a bath in the river
- enjoyed te view over rice fields and banana palm trees
- enjoyed chead and tasty food
- taken it easy
But we didn't
- get diarrhea (but I have a cold)
- go into the water
- find free drinking water (at least it's cheap)
- work!
Now I really need to find a tissue and get back to chill out with Klaus. Thank God it's evening and getting a little colder...
Oh, one more thing: the train ride was easy, funny and we were on time! So screw the rumours!
